Ken a longtime Bronx resident, got a second chance at life.
Waiting for a kidney, Ken was afraid to plan ahead or think about the future. Today, Ken is living life to the fullest. He works with the HIV Network of New York and advocates throughout the city for organ donation. In August 2018, Ken traveled to Utah to partake in the Transplant Games of America, something he would not have been able to do without his new kidney.
“This transplant saved my life. I did not expect to be standing here today, but thanks to my donor, I am." - Ken Teasley
