Events in our community include providing education, inspiring registrations, sharing stories about those touched by donation and more. LiveOnNY is partnering with a new off Broadway play at 59E59 Theaters about organ donation called “I Carry Your Heart,” by award-wining playwright Georgette Kelly during the first two weeks of the month. Staff members and volunteers will participate in a post-show discussion about donation after each performance. For ticket information, click here.

Create from the Heart is an annual showcase held in Queens NY featuring a live band, professional and emerging creative artists and friends old and new coming together to raise funds and awareness to the need for Organ Donation Registration. The event supports efforts made by the AJ Project to connect creative artists to critical issues and causes and honors AJ Perrelli, an artist and organ donor as well as all who gave the gift of life as well as received. Join Councilmembers Mark Cuthbertson and Joan Cergol and The Town of Huntington at the second annual Town of Huntington 5K Run to Save Lives. Join this inspiring event to raise awareness for organ, eye and tissue donation and help save more lives like Christian's. Christian is a local resident and heart transplant recipient.
