Long Live New York Campaign

Long Live New York Campaign

About the Campaign

New Yorkers possess great pride for their state. They also possess a beneath-the-surface compassion for the thing that makes New York great, New Yorkers.

Long Live New York taps into that pride and compassion to inspire New Yorkers to fight for New York by rallying around those waiting for an organ, and celebrating those who step-up to save them.

Long Live New York is designed to inspire the unregistered to register. It is designed to inspire those who facilitate donation to not only facilitate, but also to embrace the cause. And it is designed to inspire the advocates to advocate harder. All with a single goal in mind, saving more lives through organ donation.

  • Despite 92% support for organ donation in New York, only 27% of New Yorkers are actually registered as donors.
  • New York State is 50th out of 50 states with regard to the percentage of residents registered as organ donors.
  • New York has the third longest list of people waiting to receive organ transplants.
  • Due in part to the long waiting list, and low registration, every 18 hours, a New Yorker dies waiting for an organ.

C'mon New York...let's step up and save New York and our fellow New Yorkers!
